在日常生活中,我们经常要遇到向别人问路或给别人指路的情况,那么你知道怎样用英语向别人指路或问路以及问路和指路要注意那些问题吗?下面我们就一起来了解一下｡
[第一关] 问路
向别人问路之前,应先说相当于“劳驾”或“请问”的“Excuse me.”｡这样,既可以引起对方的注意,又显得比较有礼貌｡问路时,说话的速度要慢一些,要说得清楚､明了,以便让对方听懂你的意思｡如果你没有听清楚别人的话,请求人家再说一遍时,通常不用“What?”提出反问,而要用升调的“Pardon?”或“I beg your pardon?”,意为“请再说一遍?”｡
问路的常见句式有:
1. Excuse me. Is there... near here? 例如:
Excuse me. Is there a bank near here? 请问,附近有银行吗?
Excuse me. Is there a supermarket near here? 请问,附近有超市吗?
2. Excuse me. Where is..., (please)? 例如:
Excuse me. Where is the pay phone, please? 请问,公用电话在哪里?
Excuse me. Where is the library? 请问,图书馆在哪里?
3. Excuse me. How can I get to..., (please)? 例如:
Excuse me. How can I get to the park? 请问,到公园怎么走?
4. Excuse me. Which is the way to...? 例如:
Excuse me. Which is the way to the railway station? 请问,哪一条路是去火车站的?
5. Excuse me. Can you tell me how to get to..., (please)? 例如:

[第二关] 指路
(一) 指明走哪条路
1. Go down this road. 顺着这条路走｡
2. Just go straight. 一直往前走｡
(二) 告诉转弯处
1. Turn left/right at the second crossing. 在第二个路口向左/右拐｡
2. Take the first turning on the left/right. 在第一个路口向左/右拐｡
(三) 选好参照物
1. It’s across from the bank. 就在银行对面｡
2. It’s next to the post office. 它紧挨着邮局｡
3. It’s between the video arcade and the supermarket. 它在电子游戏中心和超市之间｡
[第三关] 分手道别
1. 如果别人给你指明了路,你可别忘了答谢别人｡你要说“Thank you./Thank you very much./Thanks a lot.”｡如果你为别人指路,别人向你表示感谢时,你可以说“That’s all right./That’s OK./Not at all./You’re welcome.”等｡
2. 如果别人向你问路,你不知道时要说一声“I’m sorry. I don’t know. (对不起,我不知道｡)”或“Sorry, I’m new here, too. (很抱歉,我也是新来的｡)”｡
3. 如果别人不知道你所问的路,你也应该礼貌地说一声“Thank you all the same. (还是要谢谢你｡)”｡
